WSP in New Zealand's Power and Energy team is expanding significantly and is seeking power design expertise to complement our team during this exciting phase.

Roles and Areas of Expertise
With 10+ years of experience:
- Lead / Design Managers
- Protection and Control Lead Engineers
- SCADA / Substation Automation Engineers
We are seeking engineers with:
- Multidiscipline coordination
- Risk management experience
- Yard layout design experience
- Familiarity with SCADA architecture
- Relay application
- Busbar design
- Line transformer and scheme design
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver high-quality engineering solutions
- Work collaboratively across national multi-disciplinary teams
- Contribute to design, site investigations, and project delivery
- Prepare technical documentation and support construction monitoring
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and risks
- Mentor junior engineers and support team development
- Champion health, safety, and wellbeing

About You
- Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline (Washington Accord preferred)
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in power engineering design projects
- Background in consultancy
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- A collaborative, proactive, and client-focused mindset
