The Opportunity
We deliver power system studies for:
- Renewable generation developers (offshore wind HVAC/HVDC, solar PV, BESS, hydro, green hydrogen)
- Data centres
- Private wire networks
- Transmission and distribution utilities (UK and global)
As part of larger multi-disciplinary design commissions, our team conducts:

Ideal Candidate Requirements
- Minimum Qualification: MSc, MEng, or BEng in Electrical/Electrical Power Systems.
- Preferred: Chartered Engineer (C.Eng) or working towards it with the IET.
Essential Skills & Experience:
✅ Expertise in executing power system studies:
- Steady-state, dynamic, and transient evaluation (transmission/distribution voltage levels). • Recommend technical solutions where needed.
✅ Deep understanding of GB grid code compliance:
- Proven experience applying requirements for renewables and infrastructure connections.
✅ Advanced proficiency in industry tools (e.g., PowerFactory, PSCAD, PSS/E, IPSA, ETAP, EMTP-ATP+), including model building, analysis, and verification (complex simulations required).
✅ Hands-on power quality assessments:
- Proficiency with G5/5, P28, P29 Engineering Recommendations.
✅ Stakeholder management and team leadership:
- Engagement with Transmission Owners, DNOs, clients/customers, and engineers. • Leading technical teams to deliver power system study packages. • Providing technical study assurance. • Mentoring early-career engineers.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
🔹 Scripting/dำ analytics using DPL/Python. 🔹 Experience in consultancy-based projects (bidding, managing studies). 🔹 Familiarity with EU and international grid codes.
