Role Summary
Goal: To amplify The Conduit’s voice as a respected leader in the global impact ecosystem, drive media relations and visibility, and ensure our Solutions Agenda reaches key global audiences.
Role Overview: The Senior PR Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive communications strategy that highlights the social impact achieved by the Conduit, including amplifying projects under our Solutions Agenda, as well as our FloodAction initiative. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent storytelling skills, an existing network of media contacts in the impact sector, and a proven ability to collaborate and coordinate across a range of internal teams, including Marketing, Membership, and Partnerships.
The ideal candidate for this mid-career role will be a proactive, results-oriented professional with a great contact book, who can translate complex social impact initiatives into compelling public narratives to place high-profile media coverage.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Planning (30%)
- Develop and implement an integrated PR strategy that aligns with the Conduit’s mission and objectives, focusing on the social impact of our work, including the Solutions Agenda, flagship initiatives such as FloodAction, and Conduit Live conferences.
- Identify key narrative themes, target audiences, priority contacts, and communication channels to maximize reach and engagement.
PR and Content Development
- Create high-quality, impactful communications content across various formats, including press releases and case studies, to build brand awareness.
- Work closely with teams to distill complex innovative solutions/initiatives into accessible and compelling stories, ensuring those stories reach as broad an audience as possible.
- Manage and cultivate relationships with a wide variety of key media contacts, journalists, and influencers in the social impact, sustainability, and innovation sectors to build brand awareness.
- Identify and secure ‘cold’ media opportunities, using industry syndication and alert tools, and proactively identify and execute on potential PR opportunities within the Impact space.
- Develop strategies for maximizing the PR impact of our keystone events, including Conduit Live conferences and the Solutions Agenda to secure media attendance.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for media inquiries, coordinating interviews and briefing spokespeople.
- Monitor media coverage and report on PR performance metrics.
- Co-lead efforts with the marketing team to build an ambassador program of journalists, senior impact leaders, and other influencers to promote The Conduit and its work through their channels.
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to integrate PR campaigns with broader marketing initiatives, including events, membership drives, and digital campaigns.
- Work with leadership to prepare for public appearances and external speaking engagements.
- Collaborate with the Partnerships team to integrate sponsors into communications without compromising editorial integrity.

Skills & Experience
- 9+ years’ experience in communications or PR, ideally within social impact, non-profit, or purpose-driven organizations.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience with digital tools and newsletters.
- Proven track record of securing high-profile media coverage and managing media relationships.
- Established network of media contacts in the impact space, with the ability to secure top-tier coverage.
- Entrepreneurial attitude with experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments. Able to work independently with limited resources to develop proven results.
- A strong interest in social impact and the topics outlined in the Conduit’s Solutions Agenda.
- Strong strategic storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex issues into compelling, opportunity-driven narratives.
- Excellent networking skills and the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships.
- Proficient in tracking, analyzing, and reporting on media exposure.
