Job Opportunity: B6 RGN in Primary Health

We are seeking to recruit a B6 RGN to our Primary Health department which serves the population of patients within our Forensic Medium Secure hospital in Rotherham.

About the Role

You will lead a small team of primary health staff in delivering evidence-based primary health care to our patients day to day and providing support and guidance to our mental health nursing teams in ensuring robust physical health care plans and support is in place. You will be facilitating clinics with external clinicians and sharing information both outwardly and internally to ensure all patients' physical health needs are met in a timely manner. You will be expected to ensure there is good governance around the team's performance and output.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of primary health staff in delivering high-quality care.
  • Provide support and guidance to mental health nursing teams.
  • Facilitate clinics with external clinicians.
  • Share information internally and externally to meet patients' physical health needs.
  • Ensure good governance around the team's performance and output.

Working Environment

You will be working for a large NHS trust as part of their Forensic Care Group and in 1 of 4 Forensic regional secure units. Wathwood Hospital is a purpose-built, 78 bed adult, male, medium secure hospital in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.
