About the Role
You will play a crucial role in managing and delivering effective, efficient services for children, young people, and their families.
As a Senior Practitioner, your responsibilities include:
- Providing professional supervision while adhering to Social Work England’s code of practice
- Supporting team development and ensuring high standards of practice
- Assessing and managing risk in complex and urgent situations
- Offering professional advice to other agencies and professionals
- Supervising and mentoring other team members
- Maintaining robust record-keeping standards

Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional supervision within the team
- Develop assessment framework and interventions to support children and families
- Lead case reviews and contribute to continuous improvement
- Deliver consultation and guidance to internal and external professionals
- Ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and safeguarding procedures
- Support training and skill development for team members
Experience & Qualifications Required
All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK (no sponsorship offered for this role).
You must be a qualified and experienced Social Worker with:
- A current registration with Social Work England
- Deep knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
- A proven ability to work under pressure and make sound, evidence-based decisions
- Experience with assessment methods, care management, and child care/protection casework
- Strong relationship-building skills with children, young people, and families
