Senior Practitioner Educational Psychologist
Salary: Up to £66,748 (plus All Soulbury scales, inner London weighting, and SPA points recognised)
Location: Dockside, Newham, East London (near London City Airport, Olympic Park, and Stratford)

About the Role
- Purpose: Deliver evidence-based psychological services to children, young people, and families to improve their wellbeing and educational outcomes.
- Key Focus: Inclusion, multi-disciplinary teamwork, and reflective practice across a range of settings including:
- Mainstream and special schools
- Colleges
- Child Development Services
- Universities
- Youth services (Youth Justice & Youth Empowerment)
- CHAND (Children with Autism in Newham)
- Wildfire Service
- Work Streams:
- Systemic consultation
- Early intervention strategies
- Psychological assessments
- Therapeutic techniques
- Team development (emotion coaching, trauma-informed supervision)
- Leadership & Growth: Opportunities for supervision, project development, and team-building within the EPS.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
You must be:
- Experienced as an Educational Psychologist (EP)
- Registered (or in Year 2/3) with the HCPC, with willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
- Committed to:
- Supporting inclusion and safeguarding of vulnerable CYP (Children & Young People)
- Developing EP colleagues through supervision and training
- Reflective practice to enhance your and your team’s professional growth
- Flexible, creative, solution-focused problem-solving
- Collaborative work within multi-disciplinary teams
- Building strong relationships with schools, parents, and agencies

Preferred Experience
- Experience across diverse educational settings (including autism, trauma, and emotional wellbeing support)
- Prior involvement in priority areas such as:
- Enhanced Visit Process (EVC/CPO)
- Emotion coaching & ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) training
- Trauma-informed practice
- Critical incident support
