Liquid Personnel are looking for dedicated social workers to join our client in Hertfordshire as a Senior Practitioner in the Family Safeguarding service! This is a vital, high-performing service working directly with families in need of support, delivering effective, relationship-based interventions. This is a great opportunity to join an Ofsted rated Outstanding local authority!
As a Senior Practitioner, you will already have highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work practice. Your advanced expertise and knowledge will help you to take the lead on complex cases within the department.
This is a varied and challenging role where you will have shared responsibility for leading less experience staff. You will have a key role in researching and sharing up to date social work practice alongside creating a clear vision for the future and ensuring the best outcomes for children and their families are realised. This is the perfect role for someone looking to be a part of a dynamic, fast-paced team environment with opportunities for development and career progression.

Key Responsibilities:
- Holding a complex and varied caseload
- Undertaking assessments and carrying out Section 47 investigations
- Leading and contributing to strategy meetings, child protection conferences, and planning processes
- Developing robust care plans to ensure children are safeguarded and supported
- Contributing to service development and mentoring junior team members

Key requirements:
- Qualified and Social Work England Registered
- At least 2 years post ASYE experience
- Significant senior level frontline experience in a safeguarding team.
- Recent experience of case work in Assessments, Child Protection, Children Looked After and Care Proceedings
- In-depth knowledge of relevant childcare legislation is necessary to undertake work in this role effectively
