Senior Pre-Construction Manager
Location: Southern home Counties (Flexible / Hybrid)
Salary: Competitive + Package + Bonus
The Opportunity
We are partnering with a leading UK main contractor, renowned for delivering high-profile, complex projects across sectors including commercial, residential, healthcare, and infrastructure. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured and upcoming work, they are seeking an experienced Senior Pre-Construction Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping and securing future projects.
This is a strategic position where you will lead the pre-construction function on major bids, some in excess of £100m, working closely with clients, consultants, and internal delivery teams to develop winning solutions.

The Role
As a Senior Pre-Construction Manager, You Will
Lead and manage the full pre-construction lifecycle from initial enquiry through to contract award Oversee bid strategy, programme development, and cost planning in collaboration with estimating teams Engage with clients to understand key drivers, ensuring tailored and competitive submissions Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including design, commercial, and operational stakeholders Drive innovation, value engineering, and risk management throughout the bid process Mentor and develop junior members of the pre-construction team Ensure governance, compliance, and quality standards are consistently met

About You
Proven experience in a senior pre-construction or bid leadership role within a main contractor. Strong track record of winning and delivering large-scale projects (£50m - £100m+) Excellent commercial awareness and technical understanding of construction methodologies Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills Ability to lead, influence, and inspire teams in a fast-paced environment Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
