Senior Pricing Analyst

As Pinnacle Pet Group continues to grow, we are seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst to join our Actuarial Pricing team. As a Senior Pricing Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing and managing pricing strategies to support the future growth and profitability of the business.

We are looking for people who are passionate about sharing their ideas, are fast learners and adaptable in our agile and growing business. We want you to join us on this journey, to grow with us and build market leading pricing capabilities. Our team of experienced pricing experts will prioritise supporting new joiners and providing any training that is needed.

Package:

  • Salary of up to £55,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Location:

  • Hybrid - there will be a requirement to work from our London Paddington office one day per month

What you’ll get up to as our Market Pricing Analyst

  • Provide pricing recommendations based on insight driven across various data and analysis
  • Assess the impact of price changes pre and post change, using Radar
  • Analyse the effectiveness of ongoing pricing decisions
  • Develop an understanding of price elasticity, customer behaviour and other factors that drive effective price positioning
  • Manage portfolio performance and provide analysis on any movements against expectation
  • Track competitor movements and provide input for key decision making
  • Collaborate with the rate implementation team to ensure prices are accurately implemented
  • Support in building the pricing infrastructure, processes and procedures that ensure transparency, clear documentation and accuracy of output
  • Maintain knowledge of the wider pet insurance market and feed developments into the business
  • To act to deliver good outcomes for retail customers whilst delivering a higher standard of customer care and enabling consumers to make effective decisions in their interests.

What we look for in you as a Market Pricing Analyst

  • Experienced in general insurance pricing
  • Strong data and analytical skills, working with large volumes of complex data, using data analysis tools such as Python, SQL, SAS, VBA is desirable
  • Experience using Radar and Emblem is desirable
  • Strong problem-solving skills and business acumen. Sound theoretical and practical understanding of personal lines underwriting and pricing principles
  • Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • High degree of numerical ability, with a proactive mindset and drive for continuous improvement
