About the Role

Customers from different business sectors and levels of government trust its team of 1,250 people for their expertise in R&D, security design, engineering, and data-driven insights. With a presence in 15 countries on three continents, the Crane Authentication team understands the regional nuances of the opportunities and challenges facing its customers.
Position Summary & Objective
The Senior Pricing Analyst supports the development, execution, and continuous improvement of Crane Authentication’s commercial pricing strategy. This role focuses on delivering high-quality analysis, standardized pricing models, and actionable insights that enable competitive, value-driven decision-making aligned with growth and profitability goals.

Key Responsibilities
Pricing Analysis & Strategy Support
- Support the creation and implementation of pricing frameworks, tools, and models aligned with business growth and governance objectives.
- Conduct detailed financial and profitability analysis across product and service lines.
- Maintain and enhance standardized cost and pricing models.
- Leverage digital and AI-enabled tools to improve:
- Data quality
- Pricing efficiency
- Process automation
- Assist in ensuring pricing consistency and compliance across regions and offerings.
Market & Customer Insight
- Gather, analyze, and report:
- Competitor pricing benchmarks
- Market trends
- Customer value indicators
- Monitor margin performance and support delivery of key pricing metrics aligned with divisional plans.
- Translate market insights into pricing recommendations for:
- The Associate Pricing Director
- Broader leadership teams
Commercial Partnership & Bid Support
- Collaborate with Commercial, Sales, Finance, Operations, and Product teams to operationalize pricing strategies and strengthen pricing processes.
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and presentations showcasing:
- Pricing analysis
- Cost structures
- Market positioning
- Support the development of bespoke costing and pricing models for complex solution opportunities (ranging from £100k to £100m+).
- Assist commercial teams during bids and customer negotiations with robust financial analysis.
Team & Capability Development
- Contribute to a culture of:
- Analytical rigor
- Continuous improvement
- Pricing excellence
- Support cross-functional education on:
- Pricing concepts
- Value-based pricing
- Commercial decision-making

Position Qualifications
Education & Technical Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering).
- Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modelling capability required.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, revenue management, or related analytical roles in B2B and/or B2G environments.
- Preference for experience with:
- Value-based pricing
- Competitive analysis
- Deal support
- Exposure to pricing tools, ERP/CRM systems, or data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is advantageous.
Language Proficiency
- Fluent in English.
