Senior Pricing & Costing Analyst

Reports to: Pricing Manager

Location: Nottingham - Office based role

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week

As a Senior Pricing & Costing Analyst you will be the go-to expert for pricing and costing; supporting our delivery of bespoke pricing and pricebooks.

You will be responsible for delivery of pricing strategies to support our sales growth whilst maintaining our non-commodity forecasts to ensure accuracy in our cost stacks.

The role will require meeting changing business and industry requirements to continually improve our costing methodology, supporting in the delivery of our commercial objectives. Maintaining the balance between risk management and delivering competitive pricing is key to the role.

What We Need From Yü

Here’s a taste of what you’ll be doing:

  • Delivery of non-commodity cost forecasting models and methodology.
  • Maintenance of all cost stack data, ensuring that pricing systems are kept up to date and pricing accurately.
  • Supporting with analysis and forecasting of non-commodity costs, understanding the differences between forecasts and outturn.
  • Delivery of pricing strategies to support sales through bespoke and pricebook pricing.
  • Supporting internal teams with any pricing and costing related queries, including providing regular commentary on drivers for cost changes.
  • Support in the development of the analytical capability of the Pricing team.
  • Support in the development of Yu Energy’s pricing system.
  • Delivery of new products and propositions in line with MHHS.
  • Responsible for a team of junior pricing analysts to deliver growth.
  • Working closely with internal Trading and Sales teams to ensure that large tenders are priced optimally and within our agreed strategy.

About Yü

If you have what it takes you could be just what we’re looking for…

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the energy industry, in a pricing and costing focussed role.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills; an understanding of statistical modelling would be advantageous.
  • Significant experience of electricity and gas non-commodity costs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Self-motivated with an ability to work independently.
