Senior Pricing & Data Science Analyst

Role Title: Senior Pricing and Data Science Analyst (UK&I)

Location: Leeds (Hybrid – 2 days per week on site) Contract: Permanent Working Pattern: Full Time Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 (DOE)


About the Role

The Senior Pricing and Data Science Analyst will lead the delivery of complex, system-driven pricing and analytical solutions across our UK & Ireland portfolio. This role combines advanced modelling, pricing expertise, and oversight of pricing systems to shape strategy, strengthen governance, and enhance analytical capability. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, you’ll own end-to-end initiatives, influence senior stakeholders, and provide technical leadership and mentorship across the function.

The role encompasses:

  • Developing and enhancing pricing models, emulators, and analytical tools to deliver accurate, robust, and explainable outputs.
  • Leading system-driven pricing initiatives, collaborating cross-functionally to productionise models and implement changes safely and efficiently.
  • Delivering clear, impactful insights and pricing recommendations to senior stakeholders and governance forums.
  • Owning renewal performance monitoring, providing detailed KPI analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Building and maintaining pricing insight tools to support operational teams and inform delegated authorities.
  • Analysing pricing variance and partnering with underwriting to guide discount strategy and governance.
  • Designing tools and frameworks for high-value and high-risk segment pricing decisions.
  • Applying advanced analytics, including elasticity modelling, to shape pricing strategy and planning.
  • Collaborating with underwriting and commercial teams during planning cycles to drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Providing technical mentorship to junior analysts, fostering team growth.

Requirements

We are seeking applicants with:

  • A strong numerical degree (or equivalent experience) in pricing, data science, analytics, or a related field, alongside significant industry-specific experience.
  • In-depth understanding of pricing, analytics, and data science principles, with demonstrable success in a commercial environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills (including modelling, pivots, and VBA), alongside strong SQL capabilities, proven in handling large-scale, complex datasets.
  • Hands-on experience in developing pricing systems, emulators, or analytical tools.
  • Experience (or intent to develop) with statistical and predictive modelling techniques, such as regression or GLMs.
  • A clear grasp of governance, model risk management, and change control within a regulated environment.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and present findings effectively to governance forums.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
