Short description:
Do you have a passion for pricing strategy and want to make a real commercial impact? We're looking for an experienced Senior Manager Pricing to shape and drive our pricing strategy across the Portable Metrology division. In this high-impact role, you'll lead the development of pricing strategies, drive pricing analytics and insights, and enable commercial teams to make data-driven decisions that support profitable growth. Working at the heart of our Strategy & Operations team, you'll collaborate closely with senior leaders across Sales, Finance and the wider business while leading a small team of pricing specialists.
Tasks in detail:
Pricing Strategy & Realization
- Lead and orchestrate the development of pricing structures, tiers, and packages tailored to customer segments, geographies, and business needs — working closely with regional teams, finance, and product
- Translate pricing strategy into actionable rules within the CPQ system for systematic governance, tracking, and measurement
- Analyze sales, quote, and market data to identify pricing optimization opportunities that drive revenue and margin growth; recommend adjustments to pricing and discounting strategies to improve conversion and profitability
- Generate regular reporting on pricing performance, sales trends, and quoting metrics
- Partner with product and sales teams to align pricing with market positioning and maintain pricing guidelines/policy documentation

Pricing Operations
- Drive CPQ adoption and coverage across the organization, administering the system to ensure product catalogue, pricing structures, and business rules stay accurate and current (including new portfolio/geography launches)
- Configure product prices and discounts by geography and customer-specific requirements (e.g., global accounts, channel); maintain workflows, approvals, and templates to optimize quote-to-cash
- Drive discounting governance and process improvements to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant quote generation
- Champion change management to expand CPQ usage and engagement across regions and teams
Pricing Enablement
- Develop training materials and lead training sessions for sales reps and other users on the CPQ system
- Act as first point of contact for sales team queries on pricing process, system, and configuration
- Provide ongoing deal support to resolve pricing or structuring issues in real time
- Drive user adoption and engagement through regular communication and hands-on support
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Master's degree.
- Proven multi-years’ experience of leading Regional/Global Pricing operations and/or Deal-desk teams
- Knowledge of Oracle CPQ configuration and implementation of pricing/ discounting policies along with Salesforce.com.
- Deep understanding of pricing metrics, methodologies, and development of analytics solutions
- Ability to communicate, train and negotiate with various stakeholders in pricing metrics and analytics outcomes
- Ability to impact & influence leadership team with pricing knowledge, data insight & subject-matter expertise.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis using tools like Excel or business intelligence software.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Knowledge of financial concepts related to pricing and profitability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
