Civil Engineering Recruitment is acting as the recruitment partner for this role.

This position is with a leading UK supplier of temporary works equipment, not an internal role within Civil Engineering Recruitment.

Senior / Principal Design Engineer (Temporary Works) - roles available in North Lanarkshire and West Yorkshire. Hybrid working arrangement

Job Description

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior or Principal Temporary Works Engineer to join a leading specialist engineering business, delivering innovative structural and geotechnical temporary works solutions across major infrastructure and construction projects throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce safe, practical and compliant temporary works designs.
  • Design structural and geotechnical temporary works solutions for a variety of construction projects.
  • Checking of temporary works solutions.
  • Provision of technical advice to clients, sales teams, and project stakeholders.
  • Ensure designs comply with current legislation, industry standards, and best practice.
  • Support and mentor Graduate and Design Engineers.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.
  • Work collaboratively to deliver projects on time and to the highest quality standards.

Key Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status or working towards IEng is desirable.
  • Minimum three years' experience in temporary works design at Senior level or five years at Principal level.
  • Strong understanding of structural and geotechnical engineering principles.
  • Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, and temporary works design software.
  • Ability to produce clear engineering calculations and drawings.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
