Shape the Future of Water Infrastructure with Egis

Locations: London | Bristol | Manchester (Hybrid) Focus Areas: Electrical / EICA Engineering Design | UK-Wide Impact | High-Growth Environment

Egis is expanding rapidly in the UK, backed by a global team of over 23,500 experts across 70+ countries. We design and deliver intelligent, sustainable infrastructure to tackle climate challenges and strengthen community resilience. As part of our fast-growing UK Water team, you will join an agile environment where career progression is accelerated, visibility is high, and your impact is immediate.

About the Role

The UK water sector is entering unprecedented investment and transformation. As Egis accelerates the growth of its Water Business in the UK, we are building a high-performing EICA Engineering team to shape this next chapter.

We are inviting applicants who want to play a meaningful role in delivering major water and wastewater programmes. Working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, you will contribute to technically robust, sustainable, and innovative treatment solutions across nationally significant projects.

This is a rare opportunity to join at a key stage of Egis’ UK growth, helping to establish, shape, and expand an EICA engineering capability rooted in global infrastructure expertise and the company’s long-term commitment to the sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide senior technical leadership for the discipline within the UK water/wastewater treatment design team.
  • Act as the discipline lead, sub-lead, or senior technical authority across feasibility, optioneering, design, construction support, commissioning, and handover for complex projects.
  • Set and maintain discipline design standards, ensuring alignment with requirements, design risk processes, digital workflows, and quality expectations.
  • Lead and assure complex deliverables, including key technical decisions, supplier packages, contractor submissions, and multidisciplinary interfaces.
  • Drive integrated coordination between Process, Mechanical, EICA, MEP, Civil/Structural, construction, and operational teams to deliver efficient, buildable, and maintainable solutions.
  • Lead senior client engagement, technical workshops, design reviews, optioneering, and value engineering.
  • Embed modern delivery approaches, such as digital design, simulation, automation, standardisation, data-led decision making, and supplier integration.
  • Support project directors and project managers with technical risk, scope, resourcing, programme, budget, change control, and design quality management.
    • Build and develop the discipline sub-team through recruitment, mentoring, line management, succession planning, and professional development.
    • Contribute to business planning, work winning, client development, and bid strategy to grow Egis’ UK water/wastewater treatment capability.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
