Senior PCB Design Engineer | Hybrid | Cambridge | £60-70k DOE
A consultancy working on the edge of physics is looking for a PCB expert to own the PCB design & manufacture function of the engineering team.
You will collaborate with elite designers on leading-edge RF, digital, and analogue technologies across the commercial, industrial, and defence sectors.
This is more than a design role. You will help lead their hardware capability and drive excellence in PCB technology.
Responsibilities
- Generate high-quality, manufacturable designs from engineering schematics
- Negotiate stack-ups, costs, and timescales with external contractors, and maintain strategic relationships with PCB manufacturing and CAD suppliers
- Conduct internal and external design reviews and ensure all deliverables meet rigorous quality standards

Technical Requirements
- Proficiency in schematic capture and layout, supported by a portfolio of successful projects ideally in RF or mmW designs
- Deep understanding of SMT, DFA, DFM, and IPC standards
- Confident communicator capable of engaging with external suppliers and internal stakeholders to help negotiate best outcomes.
