Senior Private Credit Professional — Private Asset-Backed Debt
Hedge Fund | Private Assets Team | London
About the Role
We are seeking a senior investment professional to join our Private Assets team, focused on originating, structuring, and executing investments across the full spectrum of asset-backed private debt. This is a P&L-accountable role: you will be responsible for investment performance and generating returns.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate P&L across a portfolio of private asset-backed debt investments
- Source, originate, and structure transactions across asset classes including but not limited to: commercial real estate, equipment and specialty finance platforms
- Lead end-to-end deal execution: due diligence, structuring, documentation (including SPA and LMA frameworks), negotiation, and closing
- Conduct rigorous credit analysis on underlying assets and collateral pools, covenant structures (including DSCR/ICR, LTV), and structural protections
- Build and maintain relationships with originators, sponsors, banks, and intermediaries to drive proprietary deal flow
- Present investment recommendations and portfolio updates to senior management and risk committees
- Contribute to team-wide process

Candidate Requirements
- Significant experience in private credit, structured finance, or asset-backed lending, with a demonstrable P&L track record
- Deep technical expertise in structured credit (CMBS/RMBS/ABS) documentation and covenant mechanics
- Strong quantitative and credit analysis skills; comfort with complex capital structures
- Existing origination network and demonstrated ability to source proprietary transactions
- Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to investment committees
- Relevant regulatory qualifications as required (FCA-regulated function)
- Bachelor’s degree required
