Senior Process Chemist

About Vateris

Vateris is a climate-tech company developing carbon-to-materials technologies for the construction industry. Our technology permanently mineralises captured CO₂ into high-performance materials that enable major cement reduction while maintaining or improving concrete performance.

Backed by investors including Holcim and GOLDBECK, Vateris is now preparing for the next stage of industrial-scale-up. We are planning delivery of a ~£15 million demonstration plant from Q4 2026 onwards and are looking for exceptional technical talent with highly relevant industrial backgrounds to help scale the technology toward commercial deployment.

The Role

We are seeking a highly capable Senior Process Chemist to lead optimisation and industrialisation of our CO₂ mineralisation process.

This is not a purely academic research role. We are specifically looking for candidates with:

  • Strong industrial experience in scalable chemical processes
  • Real-world manufacturing environments
  • The ability to transition smoothly toward demonstration and commercial deployment

The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, operations, and scale-up teams as we move forward.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
