Senior Process Engineer (Contract)

📍 Liverpool | £38.00 per hour | 18-Month Contract | Immediate Start

A leading Tier 1 automotive manufacturer is seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join its team at a Just-in-Time (JIT) manufacturing facility supporting a major OEM programme in Liverpool.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced contractor who is comfortable taking ownership, working independently, and acting as the technical lead within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.

The Role

This is a highly visible, customer-facing position where you'll be expected to lead from the front and make decisions with confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead process engineering activities across the JIT manufacturing facility.
  • Act as the engineering lead, taking ownership of manufacturing processes and improvements.
  • Work directly with customers, representing the business in technical discussions and project meetings.
  • Support new product introductions and engineering changes.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Collaborate with production, quality and programme teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement robust corrective actions.
  • Support programme launches and ensure customer expectations are consistently achieved.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
