Job Title: Senior Process Engineer
Duration: 12 Month Contract (potential extension)
Location: Hybrid with 3 days on-site in Warrington
Rate: £60p/hour (Inside IR35)
Senior Process Engineer Overview
I'm looking for an experienced Senior Process Engineer to support a major nuclear decommissioning project, working within an established Process Engineering Team. The role will involve producing key process engineering documentation, including Hazard Management Strategies, Basis of Process Safety, and Basis of Design documents, while providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
The successful candidate will use their nuclear process engineering experience to develop engineering solutions, support project requirements, and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

The Senior Process Engineer role will involve:
- Producing key process engineering documentation, including Hazard Management Strategies, Basis of Process Safety, and Basis of Design documents
- Supporting the delivery of nuclear process engineering design activities
- Developing and reviewing engineering solutions to meet project requirements
- Providing technical input and support across multidisciplinary project teams
- Managing document production, approvals, governance, and assurance processes
- Supporting the resolution of technical issues and engineering challenges
The Senior Process Engineer will need to have the following attributes:
- Minimum BEng/BSc qualification in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent
- Ability to obtain and maintain baseline Security Clearance
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Nuclear Process Engineering Design
- Experience developing Hazard Management Strategies and other high-level process documentation
- Experience working as a Designer under CDM Regulations
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant engineering codes, standards, specifications, and legislation
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teams

- Knowledge of the Sellafield Management System (SEMS)
- Experience working within the Sellafield environment
- Existing Baseline Security Clearance
