Senior Process Engineer
Location: Billingham
Join our Engineering Support Group (ESG) and help deliver safe, compliant, and highly reliable manufacturing assets. As a Senior Process Engineer, you’ll apply deep process engineering expertise across capital projects, process development, and facilities engineering to drive technical assurance, process safety, and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do
- Own and report Key Performance Indicators for process engineering activity; champion consistent engineering standards across site.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, GMP and local engineering standards; conduct SHE and compliance audits to uphold excellent safety performance.
- Lead the development and implementation of site process engineering standards, policies, and technical specifications.
- Perform and review root cause analysis and 5C investigations; deliver multi-discipline long-term solutions to improve reliability and prevent recurrence.
- Produce and review process calculations for equipment and piping systems, including pressure systems; act as an approved List 2 process engineer for pressure relief calculations, with development toward List 1 approval.
- Prepare and approve design, commissioning, and qualification documentation for engineering modifications.
- Lead, manage, or act as the customer for major projects and improvement initiatives.

About You
- Degree-qualified Chemical/Process Engineer (or equivalent) with experience in:
- Scale-up, plant and process design
- Commissioning/qualification and technical support in a regulated environment
- Pressure relief systems and calculations
- Strong SHE and quality compliance ethos; leads by example.
- Investigative, data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret third-party deliverables, analyse trends, and drive effective improvements.
- High concern for standards, documentation quality, and configuration control of asset process information.
