DP World, the global logistics leader that currently handles more than 10% of world trade, is seeking a skilled Senior Procurement Coordinator to join our growing Shared Service Center in Bucharest, Romania.

In this role, you will provide essential support for DP World's legal entities across the EU region by managing order creation, supplier setup, contracts and by processing various requests efficiently and accurately.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Processing purchase requests and converting them into purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procurement policies.
  • Providing support for supplier onboarding and maintenance, ensuring accurate and up-to-date data in procurement systems.
  • Configuring functionalities, inputting data, and managing procurement systems (SAP/Oracle), including creating supplier and material data requests.
  • Verifying and reconciling supplier invoices with purchase orders, ensuring proper coding, pricing accuracy, and quantity alignment.
  • Addressing and resolving procurement-related inquiries and issues, escalating complex matters to appropriate stakeholders when necessary.
  • Maintaining procurement records, documents, and contracts in accordance with record-keeping policies and retention requirements.
  • Monitoring and updating contract details, including renewal timelines, and ensuring compliance with contractual terms for orders and invoices.
  • Collaborating with the Finance Department to resolve payment discrepancies, manage credit notes, and ensure timely and accurate supplier payments.
  • Monitoring procurement activities and generating reports to support decision-making and process improvements, ensuring compliance with established objectives.
  • Ensuring the proper implementation and documentation of purchasing policies and procedures in alignment with current regulations.
  • Providing knowledge transfer and support to new team members.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement, proposing and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and achieve departmental objectives.

Your profile:

  • Higher Education studies in Accounting/Economic Relations/Legal Studies or a similar field.
  • Minimum 3 years of previous work experience in Procurement, ideally within a Shared Service Center/BPO environment. International contract management experience would be an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of the acquisitions and accounting processes.
  • Excellent ability to operate procurement software products (SAP/Oracle) and the Microsoft Office package.
  • Advanced English level. Fluency in any other European language would be an advantage.
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to think ahead, ensuring smooth collaboration with suppliers and multicultural teams while driving timely delivery.
  • A solid understanding of the organizational structure and climate, adapting communication and collaboration style accordingly to work effectively across different teams and levels.
