Senior Procurement Officer

Sustainability Coordinator - TSL

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct site surveys and coordinate impact assessments for new construction projects
  • Undertake construction site inspections and work with project teams to ensure operational compliance, aligning with company procedures and plans
  • Draft environmental and sustainability documentation, including:
    • Construction environment management plans
    • Local value needs assessments
    • Pollution incident response plans
  • Assist in obtaining and collating evidence for sustainability certifications, such as LEED, BREEAM, or equivalent standards
  • Support project teams in preparing for and facilitating Considerate Constructor Scheme visits
  • Help project teams understand sustainability certification requirements and achieve targeted credits
  • Collaborate with supply chain partners to communicate sustainability goals and drive continual improvement
  • Support the Head of ESG in delivering on corporate sustainability objectives
  • Work collaboratively with business specialists to design initiatives and new ideas as part of continuous refinement
  • Compile data and prepare internal and external sustainability reports
  • Co-ordinate cost-benefit analyses and develop business cases for sustainability improvements
  • Develop and promote best-practice examples from within the organisation
  • Create learning resources and materials to enhance environmental and sustainability awareness across the business

Skills and Experience Required

Technical Proficiencies & Software Experience

  • Competency in Microsoft Office packages: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience using construction management software
  • Proficiency in sustainability assessment tools and/or data reporting software

Communicational & Professional Skills

  • A clear and effective verbal communicator

Licensing & Certifications

  • Must hold a valid driving licence applicable to the region/country of the role

Professional Affiliation

  • Membership (any status) of a professional ESG or environment-related association, such as:
    • IEMA (Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment)
    • IES (Institution of Environmental Sciences)
  • Preference for full or chartered membership of a relevant professional body
