Senior Procurement Specialist
Procurement Supply Chain Specialist (6-Month Initially, Possibility of Going Perm)
Location: Dundee Work Type: 6-Month Temp초with Hybrid Option (3-4 Days Remote, 1-2 Days Onsite) Salary: £38,000 - £43,000 Type: Exclusive to Cortech Experience Required: 5+ Years in Purchasing or Procurement
##About the Role A fast-growing SME based in Dundee requires a motivated procurement specialist to strengthen their supply chain team. The highly dynamic role demands tenacity, independence, and hands-on ownership, with an emphasis on supplier relationships, purchasing, and operational support.
This is ideal for a procurement professional who excels in high-pressure, volatile environments, enjoys clear visibility of projects, and thrives when collaborating across delivery teams to ensure operational efficiency.
About the Company
The company specializes in assembling camera systems and electronic components. To succeed here, you’ll need strong procurement acumen, particularly around sourcing critical components and maintaining real-time visibility via Excel and ERP systems, given their slightly manual setup.
##Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update assembly data in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, ensuring accurate Bill of Materials (BoM) and routing information.
- Challenge operational deviations and track changes to ensure BoMs are current.
- Schedule and track assembly workflows in the ERP system to align with production order deadlines.
- Monitor inventory levels to balance stock availability with cost-efficient holding while meeting production needs.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to forecast material requirements and identify bottlenecks.
- Provide supply chain support for R&D projects, via relevant teams to adapt to changes.
- Manage inventory flow to align with BoM needs for seamless production.
- Additional procurement/supply chain tasks as required:
- Handle project pivots, new builds, or client-driven changes, requiring adaptability and problem-solving.

##Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5+ years in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations.
- CIPS (or equivalent) certification – preferred, though willingness to pursue …»A Strong ERP Exposure /»**:
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Dynamics 365), though note this system is more manual than automated.
- Proof of Entry-Level Existance in R&D 도is aplus (invisible to long-term talent specifics for now).
- Excel proficiency is mandatory – including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Strong demonstration of ERP sales experience is missing.
