Senior Producer
Northern Broadsides
Northern Broadsides is looking to welcome a dynamic and pro-active Senior Producer to join our small, friendly team at an important moment for the company, as we explore new production models and ways of touring, develop new partnerships and look ahead to our application to Arts Council England’s next NPO round.
This is a part-time role with hours to be worked flexibly across the year, but with a focused period to include producing our spring touring production of Crime and Punishment. The initial contract is for a 10-month fixed term, September 2026 – June 2027, after which there will be an opportunity for review and a permanent position.
Crime and Punishment, adapted and directed by Laurie Sansom, rehearses at Dean Clough, Halifax ahead of a 13-week national tour of core and new venues for Northern Broadsides. We are awaiting the outcome of an application to ACE’s Touring Project Grants to support the visits to 5 priority place venues.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
