As a Senior Product Associate within Employee Platforms – Collaboration & Communication at JPMorganChase, you contribute to the team by leveraging your expertise in product development and optimization to make a significant impact, supported by user research and customer feedback to fuel the creation of innovative products and continuously improve existing offerings. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our products and ongoing success.

One of these teams is the External Collaboration Product Area, part of Content Creation & Collaboration, which enables secure collaboration with external partners, clients, and vendors. The product area owns platforms such as Slack, Google Workspace, and Virtual Data Rooms, delivering business capability while meeting firmwide risk, control, and regulatory standards.

Job responsibilities

  • Partners with the Product Manager to identify and evaluate new product opportunities through user research, discovery, and market analysis
  • Supports user research, journey mapping, and customer feedback synthesis to inform the product roadmap and feature prioritization
  • Considers upstream and downstream impacts of new features on the end‑to‑end product experience
  • Analyzes and tracks product metrics, including delivery timelines, cost, quality, and operational readiness across the product lifecycle
  • Writes clear requirements, epics, and user stories to support iterative product development
  • Supports day‑to‑day product execution for Slack, Google Workspace, and third‑party Virtual Data Rooms, ensuring alignment with business needs and firmwide policy
  • Partners with Product Security, Technology Risk & Controls, Compliance, Privacy, and Legal to incorporate risk assessments, threat models, and control requirements into product delivery
  • Assists with intake, prioritization, and coordination of cross‑functional initiatives such as audits, control remediation, and exception‑based onboarding
  • Contributes to adoption and rollout planning, including onboarding models, usage guardrails, and operational readiness for new capabilities
  • Supports vendor engagement and documentation, including SaaS questionnaires, architecture reviews, and dependency tracking across internal teams

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a closely related domain

  • Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle, including discovery, delivery, and requirements definition

  • Experience supporting enterprise SaaS platforms in regulated or risk‑managed environments

  • Ability to translate compliance, security, and control requirements into actionable product requirements and user stories

  • Developing knowledge of data analytics and data‑driven decision‑making

  • Proven ability to operate effectively in highly matrixed environments with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities 

  • Experience supporting or managing collaboration platforms such as Slack, Google Workspace, or Virtual Data Rooms (e.g., Box.com, Intralinks, NetRoadshow)

  • Prior exposure to technology risk, product security, audit, or regulatory control processes in a large enterprise

  • Experience partnering with Compliance, Privacy, Legal, or Product Security teams on approvals, exceptions, and risk disposition

  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and agile tooling for backlog management, delivery tracking, and roadmap execution

  • Experience working with vendors and third parties, including security reviews, remediation coordination, and product enhancement planning
