Senior Product Data Scientist
Contract Length: 12 Months
Location: Hybrid - 3 days a week at Heathrow Airport
IR35 Status: Inside
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Product Data Scientist to help drive product innovation through data, experimentation and advanced analytics. You will work closely with Product Managers, Engineers and business stakeholders to identify opportunities, generate insights and build scalable data science solutions that improve customer and business outcomes. The successful candidate will combine strong analytical thinking with practical implementation skills and a passion for solving complex product and optimisation challenges.
What You'll Do
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to define success metrics and evaluate product performance.
- Conduct exploratory analysis to identify opportunities for growth and customer impact.
- Design and analyse experiments including A/B tests and observational studies.
- Build predictive models and analytical tools that support product decision-making.
- Develop decision science and optimisation solutions where appropriate.
- Create dashboards, reporting frameworks and self-service analytics capabilities.
- Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business problems into analytical solutions.
- Contribute to data science best practices and mentor junior team members.

Preferred Experience
- 4+ years of experience in Data Science, Product Analytics, Decision Science, Applied Science or related fields.
- Experience using data to influence product or business decisions.
- Strong understanding of statistics, experimentation and machine learning.
- Experience delivering end-to-end analytical projects.
- Experience working in cross-functional product teams.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex findings clearly.

Technical Skills

Nice to Have
- Experience with optimisation, operations research or decision science.
- Experience with pricing, scheduling, forecasting or resource allocation problems.
- Familiarity with Gurobi, CPLEX, OR-Tools or similar optimisation tools.
- Experience in airlines, transportation, logistics, retail, marketplace or technology companies.
- MSc or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science or related field.
