We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Product Design Manager – Custody Product.

The primary responsibility of Senior Product Design Manager is to support the design strategy for our Custody Product within the Securities Services business. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping the design of the product book of work, leading client technical meetings, reviewing emerging technologies, and representing the business at industry-specific forums. This role is critical to ensuring our custody solutions are innovative, client-centric, and aligned with market and regulatory developments. There will be a particular focus on the fund order execution product to assess client needs, demand for product features and impact on roadmap & backlog. Regularly review key performance indicators (KPIs) with the vendor & complete the transition of the product service into BAU.

In this role you will be:

  • Design Strategy: Develop and execute the design strategy for the custody product, ensuring alignment with business objectives, client needs, and industry trends.
  • Book of Work Design: Lead the design and planning of the custody product book of work, prioritizing initiatives and ensuring robust, scalable, and innovative solutions.
  • Client Technical Meetings: Represent the product design function in client technical meetings, gathering requirements, presenting solutions, and addressing technical queries.
  • Technology Review: Evaluate and review new and emerging technologies relevant to custody services, assessing their potential impact and applicability to the business.
  • Industry Engagement: Attend and participate in industry-specific forums, working groups, and conferences to stay abreast of market developments and advocate for the business.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including Product, Technology, Operations, Compliance, Legal, and Sales to ensure seamless delivery of design initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance product design processes, drive innovation, and improve client outcomes.
  • Regulatory Awareness: Ensure all design initiatives comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Relevant years of experience in product design, product management, or related roles within Securities Services / Global Markets/ Front Office with a strong focus on Custody Product.
  • Experience in solutioning and designing is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing design strategies and leading complex product initiatives.
  • People management experience is preferable. Current role is an individual contributor which will develop in people management is something to consider.
  • Strong understanding of custody operations, market infrastructure, and regulatory landscape.
  • Experience with client technical meetings and industry engagement.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in design, Business, Technology, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong experience in post trade processing across all asset classes with a strong preference for funds. Experience of working with a sub-custodian, preferably 3rd party, either hands on or as a product manager.
