The Role: Senior Product Designer
As a Senior Product Designer at Plum, you’ll focus on enhancing the customer experience while advancing our mission. This is an individual contributor (IC) role, where you’ll design key elements of the Plum product within a cross-functional team.
What You Will Do

Solve user problems end-to-end:
- Conduct research and translate insights into actionable design solutions
- Implement polished flows and interactions alongside engineers

Collaborate with other designers to:
- Establish Plum’s design processes
- Develop the tooling setup and core design principles

Sketch and prototype ideas with the team to:
- Assess viability before refining details and interactions

Leverage research and user testing to:
- Validate designs and build deeper empathy and understanding of Plum’s users

Partner with Product Managers to:
- Define the functionality and aesthetic of Plum’s future product iterations

Work collaboratively with Engineers to:
- Build, iterate, and ship seamlessly
Who You Are
- A product thinker – passionate about why you’re designing something and its impact on users
- Designer for humans – your process prioritises real people, using data/research to validate and test designs
- A brilliant communicator who can articulate design decisions and give/receive constructive feedback
- Independent but collaborative – comfortable working alone and knowing when to collaborate or delegate
- Fluent in mobile design with a strong portfolio demonstrating interaction and visual skills
- Understands the end-to-end lifecycle of digital products – from inception to delivery
- Fluent in iOS and Android design systems, knowledgeable about when to leverage existing patterns or create custom solutions
- (Bonus) Can appreciate a good chip, toast, or snack bar—more than just breakfast!
