Purpose of Role
We are seeking a talented Senior Product Designer contractor to provide 6 months of maternity leave cover, covering key product areas including ads and brand partnerships, and player rewards and gamification systems, delivering experiences that balance commercial goals with seamless, engaging gameplay. You will translate user insights into intuitive and compelling interfaces, driving engagement and growth through innovative design solutions. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive experiences for millions of players and fans worldwide.

Responsibilities
- Partner closely with product and engineering teams to define and drive the product experience for new features, bringing a senior design perspective to shape decisions early;
- Lead design across ads and brand partnerships, owning end-to-end experiences that balance commercial objectives with a seamless user experience;
- Drive design for rewards systems and gamification, creating engaging, motivating experiences that deepen player progression, engagement and retention;
- Champion user understanding by leading research into user flows and pain points, producing, testing, and iterating on high quality designs to solve complex user needs;
- Ideation & Sketching: Lead brainstorming sessions, exploring and evaluating design solutions through sketches, wireframes, and prototypes;
- Prototyping: Build and own low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes to validate design solutions with users and communicate concepts to stakeholders;
- Usability Testing: Define testing strategies, identify issues, and iterate to ensure the product is both usable and impactful;
- Visual Design: Own the visual look and feel of the product, ensuring UI design consistently reflects our branding, typography, and design system;
- Presentation & Storytelling: Confidently communicate and defend design decisions and rationale to senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams;
- Design System Contribution: Take an active role in evolving and maintaining design components to drive consistency across the product.

Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years experience designing digital products;
- Demonstrates exceptional craft and process through a strong portfolio showcasing complex, end-to-end product design work;
- Expert-level experience with Figma;
- Proven experience working with and contributing to Design Systems;
- Nice to have: Passionate about or familiar with competitive gaming and esports;
- To complete any other tasks that may reasonably fall within this role's remit.
