We're seeking a Senior Product Designer to join our Rightmove Plus Platform team, which focuses on initiatives that cut across multiple product areas to strengthen the foundations of the Partner experience, delivering more consistent, scalable, and connected products.
As the sole designer embedded in this team, you’ll collaborate closely with the Product Manager and engineers to shape experiences used by thousands of property professionals daily. This includes work on navigation, dashboards, settings, account experiences, and emerging AI-powered initiatives.
You’ll also be part of our wider XD (Product Design) team, a community of Product Designers, Content Designers, and User Researchers.
Role: Reporting to the Lead Product Designer for Customer Work arrangement: Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Soho, London office, 3 days from home.
Core Responsibilities
Strategy and Ownership
- Own end-to-end improvements across key Rightmove Plus platform experiences, with a focus on simplifying user journeys and improving consistency.
- Support technical and platform initiatives covering:
- Navigation and information architecture
- Dashboards and settings
- Account management
- AI-powered experiences
- Work across multiple product teams to create connected and consistent Partner experiences.
Design and Delivery
- Craft solutions through user journeys, flows, wireframes, UI design, and prototypes.
- Partner with the Product Manager to align on roadmap and strategic priorities.
Collaboration and Insights
- Collaborate with User Research, Content Design, and other designers to refine the design process.
- Proactively run research and usability testing to validate ideas and refine designs.
- Use analytics and qualitative insights to measure impact and continuously improve shipments.
- Work closely with engineers during delivery to ensure experiences are technically feasible, accessible, performant, and consistent.
Consistency and Scalability
- Create reusable patterns, guidance, and frameworks that improve consistency and help Partner teams deliver high-quality experiences efficiently.
- Collaborate with the Design Systems Senior Product Designer and Partner teams to shape shared components, patterns, and experience standards—balancing scalability with team-specific needs.

- Build strong relationships with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers across Partner teams, aligning on opportunities, priorities, and decisions.

Requirements and Qualities

- Experience designing complex digital products, with a portfolio showcasing:
- Strong UX design
- Systems thinking
- Precision and craft
- Experience working across multiple teams/product areas, aligning stakeholders across broader initiatives.
- Strong systems-thinking mindset, able to create:
- Scalable solutions
- Reusable patterns and frameworks
- Long-term value beyond immediate product boundaries.
- Deep understanding of:
- Information architecture
- Navigation
- Complex user journeys
- Expertise in accessibility standards and inclusive design, with an eye for quality and consistency.
- Experience collaborating with Design Systems teams and balancing individual team needs with organisation-wide consistency.
- Knowledge of research, analytics, and customer insight to drive decision-making.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including stakeholder influence.

- Comfort with ambiguity—ability to bring teams together under shared direction.
