Senior Product Designer - Permanent Employment
Manchester | Hybrid (3 days per week onsite)
Up to £65,000 + Bonus + Private Healthcare
Looking for more ownership? More influence? More opportunity to create products you're genuinely proud of?
If you're a Senior Product Designer who enjoys owning products from the very first conversation through to launch and then making them even better - you'll probably enjoy this role.
We're working with a growing, consumer business whose products are used by millions of members across the UK.
Their Product and UX function has grown significantly over the last couple of years, and they're now looking for a Senior Product Designer who can help take both their products and their design team to the next level.
This isn't a role where you'll spend all of your time conducting user interviews.
It isn't a role where you'll simply maintain a design system.
And it isn't a role where you'll become a full-time manager.
Instead, you'll remain hands-on, own complete product experiences, mentor other designers and have genuine influence over how products evolve.
Why people join
The best Product Designers want ownership.
- Understand problems
- Work closely with Product and Engineering
- See their ideas come to life
- Measure the impact
- Learn from it
- Then improve it again
That's exactly what this role offers.
You'll have the opportunity to influence products used by millions of customers whilst working in a business where design has a genuine voice in product decisions.
You'll join a collaborative team where good ideas are encouraged, experimentation is valued and you'll have the freedom to challenge thinking rather than simply take orders.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Understanding business goals and customer problems before jumping into solutions.
- Discovery, competitor analysis and customer research.
- Using behavioural data, analytics and customer insight to identify opportunities.
- Working with Product and CRO teams to develop hypotheses and validate ideas through experimentation.
- Using A/B testing, heatmaps, usability testing and behavioural analysis to continuously improve experiences.
- Designing customer journeys, user flows, wireframes, prototypes and polished, high-fidelity user interfaces.
- Working alongside Engineers throughout implementation to ensure great ideas become great products.
- Measuring success after launch and continually iterating based on customer feedback, behavioural insight and commercial performance.
You'll also play an important role in helping shape the design culture by mentoring other designers, sharing knowledge and raising the overall quality of design across the team.

You'll be able to talk through examples where you've:
- Identified a business or customer problem.

- Used analytics and customer data to shape your thinking.
- Formed hypotheses and validated them through experimentation.
- Designed complete customer journeys from concept through to polished UI.
- Worked closely with Product Managers and Engineers to deliver your designs.
- Measured success using customer and commercial outcomes before iterating further.
