Senior Product Designer

🐾 Senior Product Designer – Change the World of Pet Food For Good

About Tails.com

We’re Tails.com, a dog food subscription company making a bold difference. Our truly tailored food is created just for each dog—personalised based on simple owner inputs, delivering unique recipes tailored to their needs, taste preferences and nutritional requirements, all delivered monthly.

Backed by Purina, one of the world’s largest pet food companies, we’re scaling fast—joining a team of clever humans and their equally smart (if mostly busy) dogs.

Designed to Delight Our Customers

As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll lead the creation of copy and content experiences that make our customers glow. We’re shaping a new category in pet food, and your work here will be uniquely impactful.

Our process:

  • Collaborative, cross-functional squad-based work (designers, engineers, researchers, data analysts).
  • Balance of tactical wins and big, knotty problems—constantly solving for what matters to dogs (and their owners).
  • A team of proper professionals—no solo front-people here.

The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Product Designer who thrives on designing usable yet joyful experiences for dog lovers. The ideal candidate balances design expertise with a relentless customer focus.

Skills You’ll Bring

Design Expertise

  • 5+ years in product design, with mastery across all phases (discovery, wireframing, prototyping, UI/visual/interaction design, usability testing).
  • Balanced UX/UI skills—crafting compelling, intuitive, and valuable digital experiences with commercial impact.
  • Proven track record of designing for measurable business and customer outcomes in direct-to-consumer spaces.

Technical & Creative Tooling

  • Skilled in Figma for prototyping, design systems, and development handoff.
  • Ability to work effectively with engineers via tools like Stories, Specs, and a structured feedback loop.
  • Comfortable researching**, synthesising, and presenting data** to inform decisions.
  • Experience writing tickets and documentation in Jira/Confluence.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
