ABOUT XYZ REALITY
XYZ Reality are the creators of the world's first and only engineering-grade Augmented Reality solution, purpose built for the construction industry. Not only have we created this holographic technology, that sits within The Atom — a smart, site-safe headset/hardhat — but we implement it on projects, utilising the power of AR to ensure that all schemes are completed in line with delivery timescales and budgets.
XYZ has grown to over 100 staff across the UK, US & Europe and is working with Mission Critical organisations & construction companies to successfully deliver major projects.
THE ROLE
As a Senior Product Designer, you'll own and shape key experiences across our XR headset and web platform.
You'll create tools used in high-pressure construction environments, where clarity, speed, and accuracy directly impact cost and delivery. You'll turn complex BIM and construction workflows into intuitive, effective experiences, connecting planning in the office with execution on site.
You'll lead design from early discovery through to delivery, working closely with Product, Engineering, and Hardware teams. This is a hands-on role with significant influence over product direction, interaction paradigms, and how spatial computing and AI are applied in practice. We expect you to work AI-natively — using AI tools as a core part of how you research, prototype, and iterate.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
