Senior Product Designer | AI for Publishing | London (Hybrid)
Pulse Group are excited to be hiring a Senior Product Designer with a UX lean for a fast-growing, research-driven company building the AI that sits inside some of the world's biggest newsrooms.
This isn't another dashboard job. You'll be designing for trust and complexity in AI and recommendation systems — helping human editorial teams understand and act on machine judgement, at newsroom speed. Design sits centrally in the product org here, not buried in one squad, so what you ship shapes strategy, not just execution.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading product design end to end, from discovery through to shipped, high-fidelity delivery
- Turning ambiguous, trust-sensitive AI workflows into product experiences people can actually rely on
- Running and applying real user research, not just presenting findings
- Contributing directly to product strategy, not just executing on it
- Working inside an existing design system, extending it rather than starting from zero

What we're looking for:
- Proven experience within Product and UX Design, with real ownership of complex digital products
- A portfolio showing your own decisions and process on one project in depth, not a company-logo tour
- Experience designing for complexity — AI, recommendation systems, or similar trust-critical tools
- Fluent in Figma, comfortable operating inside an existing design system
- Proven ability to lead design from discovery all the way through to delivery
- Publishing / Media experience a plus

The setup:
- Location: London, hybrid (3 days on-site, Mon/Wed/Fri)
- Salary: £80,000
- Employment type: Permanent
