Your Role in Our Story
Are you a senior engineer who thinks like a product owner as much as a coder? This company is a progressive SaaS B2B startup going through a pivotal moment: they’re moving deliberately towards a product engineering model, with AI-first development woven into how the team designs, builds and ships. It’s an exciting stage to join, with significant growth expected over the next few years, and this role sits right at the centre of that shift.
They’re not looking for engineers who are simply curious about AI. They want people who are already using it day to day, actively baking it into their own workflows, and who see it as a natural part of how modern engineering teams operate – not a bolt-on.
You’ll have the exciting opportunity to:
- Own Outcomes, Not Just Tickets: Work as a true product engineer – partnering closely with product, design and the wider business to shape what gets built, not just how it’s built.
- Lead with AI: Bring hands-on, everyday use of AI tooling into your engineering practice, helping set the standard for how the team builds faster and smarter.
- Pioneer Technology: Build and maintain applications with cutting-edge technologies, including GenAI, setting new standards for the industry.
- Shape the Product Engineering Function: Play a key part in how the business builds and releases its services as it pivots towards a product-led engineering mindset.
- Craft Inclusive User Experiences: Develop modern React front-end interfaces that resonate with a diverse audience and prioritise accessibility.

Your Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: You’re an experienced, senior engineer with a strong track record across cloud and full-stack technologies, comfortable owning problems end to end.
- Product Mindset: You understand how to build and release products from an engineer’s point of view – not just writing code to spec, but thinking about the user, the release, and the outcome.
- Expertise: They use React, TypeScript, and AWS Serverless. Deep experience across all of this is great, but strong fundamentals and a willingness to learn matter more than a perfect match.
- Problem-Solving: Challenges are opportunities for you to shine, and your attention to detail shows. If you care enough to find elegant solutions to difficult problems, we’d love to hear from you.
- Independence and Team Harmony: Whether working independently or collaboratively, you excel and contribute your best – and you’re comfortable operating with the autonomy a senior role brings.
