Senior Product Engineer, Frontend (React, TypeScript)
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Engineer, Frontend (React, TypeScript) based in United Kingdom.
This is an opportunity to build exceptional user experiences for a cutting-edge, AI-powered observability platform used by developers to understand and manage massive volumes of data. As a Senior Product Engineer, you will help shape both the frontend architecture and the overall product experience, transforming complex technical information into intuitive, high-performance interfaces. Working closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers, you'll contribute to product strategy while delivering impactful features from day one. The role combines technical excellence with product thinking, offering the chance to influence architecture, mentor teammates, and leverage modern AI development tools in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where innovation and user experience are at the heart of every decision.
Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance frontend applications using React and TypeScript.
- Co-own the frontend architecture, including component design, state management, and performance optimization for complex, data-intensive applications.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend engineering teams to deliver intuitive, user-centric experiences and shape product direction.
- Build interactive data visualization interfaces that help users easily explore and understand large-scale datasets.
- Deliver production-ready features with a strong focus on quality, usability, maintainability, and performance.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining ownership of code quality and technical decisions.
- Mentor engineers, promote frontend best practices, and contribute to continuous improvements in testing, architecture, and development processes.

Requirements:
- Extensive professional experience developing modern frontend applications with React and TypeScript.
- Strong expertise in building complex, data-rich user interfaces and working with component-based architectures.
- Experience using data visualization libraries such as D3, Recharts, or similar frameworks.
- Solid understanding of frontend state management, performance optimization, responsive design, and scalable application architecture.
- Experience working with REST APIs and collaborating effectively with backend engineering teams.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks and a commitment to delivering reliable, well-tested software.
- Strong product mindset with exceptional attention to user experience, design quality, and usability.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in cross-functional, remote-first teams.
- Experience with server-side development, observability platforms, OpenTelemetry, cloud-native technologies, or developer tools is considered a plus.
