Description
At CFC, technology plays a critical role in enabling our underwriting teams to deliver specialist insurance solutions at scale. We invest in products that simplify complex workflows, improve decision-making and create better experiences for brokers, clients and colleagues.
We're seeking a Product Lead to join our Technology team and lead product strategy and delivery within our Underwriting value stream. Working closely with underwriting leadership, engineers and designers, you'll identify opportunities to create business value, shape product direction and deliver solutions that drive meaningful outcomes across the business.
This is an opportunity to lead products that sit at the heart of CFC's underwriting operation, combining deep domain expertise with modern product management practices.
About the Role
- Define and own the product roadmap for your area of the Underwriting value stream, aligning priorities with business objectives and technology strategy.
- Partner closely with underwriting stakeholders to understand challenges, identify opportunities and translate business needs into clear product direction.
- Lead product discovery activities, using user insights, data and market knowledge to shape product initiatives.
- Prioritise opportunities based on customer value, business impact and strategic fit.
- Collaborate with engineering, design and delivery teams to take products from concept through to launch and adoption.
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, balancing user needs, business priorities and technical considerations.
- Drive solutions that improve underwriting efficiency, decision-making and service delivery.
- Use performance metrics, customer feedback and operational insight to measure impact and continuously refine product direction.
- Promote strong product management practices and ways of working across teams.

About You
You'll be an experienced product professional with a track record of delivering successful products in complex business environments. You are commercially minded, highly collaborative and comfortable operating at both strategic and execution levels.
You'll ideally bring:
- Experience in a senior Product Manager, Product Lead or similar role within insurance, InsurTech or a technology-led business.
- A strong track record of delivering measurable business outcomes through product innovation and transformation.
- Experience partnering with senior stakeholders, ideally within underwriting or a similarly complex operational environment.
- Deep knowledge of product management practices, including discovery, prioritisation, roadmap management and product delivery.
- Strong understanding of underwriting processes and workflows.
- Experience working closely with engineering and design teams to deliver workflow, platform or operational products.
- The ability to use data, user insights and market trends to inform product decisions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Strong commercial judgement and a focus on delivering tangible business value.
- The ability to navigate ambiguity, balance competing priorities and drive alignment across teams.
