An exciting position has arisen for a Senior Product Manager to join our busy team based at the Milton Keynes Head office. We are offering a competitive salary and ideally, the successful candidate should have previous experience working within a similar background.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, utilising a range of agile methodologies.
- Work closely with the head of the department and contribute to the overall product strategy and roadmap.
- Line manage Product Managers ensuring their professional development.
- Direct, motivate, engage, and challenge the team to deliver high quality, appropriate, creative, and effective products and services to agreed performance and quality standards.
- Set measurable goals for your product managers and report against these using data to demonstrate progress against benefits and ensuring products are aligned to the service, product portfolio, and strategy.
- Create, communicate, and iterate a product plan and vision, in line with the service or wider product roadmap, that is compelling to your team and stakeholders.
- Develop a product backlog, identifying priorities based on data and evidence.
- Within the product groups, you will still manage the complete product lifecycle from New to Range right through to timely removal from stock.
- Play an active role in the product manager community sharing your learning, developing your own skills and knowledge, and celebrating progress made by other people in your team.
- Overseeing your team with:
- Implementing and maintaining optimal stock levels, including internal re-distribution of stock.
- Stock Forecasting.
- Supplier Negotiation.
- Carry out Supplier benchmark analysis including pricing and cross-referencing.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Work closely with the stock controllers to re-source any out of stock items.
- Supplier stock cleanses and Provision release.
- The sharing of regular KPI information on stock.
- Handling Technical queries.
- Working closely with the Marketing team to promote internal and external brand awareness.
- Responsible for acting on all Lost Sales logged within your portfolio and providing a response to the branches.
- Monitoring branch Bought Out Parts to see if regional sales warrant including into stock.

- The skills to demonstrate the ability to motivate/lead a successful team.
- Strong level of computer literacy particularly in Microsoft Excel is essential.
- Experience of working within the Automotive Aftermarket.
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and develop productive working relationships with internal business partners and externally.
- Good analytical skills to solve complex problems and make timely decisions based on the vision and outcomes of the product or service.
- Flexible approach, willing to embrace new ideas and adapt to changing situations and requirements.
- High level of commercial awareness.
- Strong Technical knowledge of vehicle components.
- Experience of using MAM Autopart.
