Overview of the role:

Fixed Term 12 months

Are you ready to shape the future? As a Senior Product Manager, you'll play a leading role in shaping and delivering our digital product strategy, driving outcomes across a portfolio of products from customer discovery and product strategy through to delivery, launch and continuous improvement.

You'll work closely with senior cross-functional leaders to solve complex customer problems, define product direction and influence strategic decisions, while strengthening our product management capability across the organisation.

You'll work across a diverse portfolio of digital products, including our industry-leading Moata platform, defining solutions that address complex engineering challenges and create better outcomes for our clients and the communities they serve.

As AI capabilities continue to evolve, you'll identify strategic opportunities to apply AI across our products, shaping solutions that improve user experiences, streamline workflows and deliver measurable value for our customers and the business.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

Product Strategy and Vision:

  • Define and communicate the product vision aligned with broader organisational goals.
  • Develop product roadmaps that balance customer needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility.
  • Incorporate feedback from customers and stakeholders into the product strategy.
  • Identify strategic opportunities where AI and emerging technologies can enhance products, unlock new capabilities, and deliver meaningful customer and business value.

Product Development and Execution:

  • Lead end-to-end product development, from concept to delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, domain, and marketing) to ensure successful execution.
  • Monitor progress, adjust schedules, and manage resources effectively.

Market Research and Insights:

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer pain points, and competitive landscapes.
  • Gather insights from customers, business development teams, and industry experts.
  • Use data-driven analysis to inform product decisions.
  • Stay at the forefront of AI developments and emerging technologies relevant to our products and the AEC sector.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build trusted relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders, including clients and strategic partners.
  • Understand their needs, pain points, and business objectives.
  • Translate stakeholder requirements into actionable product features.

Product Lifecycle Management:

  • Define and monitor product success measures using customer feedback, product data, and commercial outcomes.
  • Analyse product performance to identify opportunities for growth, optimisation, and innovation.
  • Lead experimentation, iteration, and the continuous enhancement of existing products.
  • Evaluate the impact of new capabilities, including AI-enabled features, ensuring they deliver meaningful customer and business value.

Business Acumen:

  • Understand the B2B landscape, industry trends, and competitive forces.
  • Identify growth opportunities and areas for differentiation.
  • Balance short-term revenue goals with long-term strategic vision.

Leadership and Coaching:

  • Lead by example, championing modern product management practices and a customer-centric approach.
  • Share knowledge and product expertise to help teams make better product decisions and deliver stronger outcomes.
  • Coach and support the wider team to achieve their product goals.
  • Contribute to and support the continuous evolution of the product management function.

Candidate Specifications:

Essential:

  • Formal Education and Experience:

    • University degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years' product management experience, preferably in B2B environments.
    • Proven track record of successful product launches and high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Skills and Abilities:

    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to collaborate across functions and influence stakeholders.
    • Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset.
    • Adaptable and effective in a dynamic business environment.
    • Passion for AI and emerging technologies, with a strong desire to shape their application in creating innovative, customer-centric digital products.

Desirable:

  • Experience in B2B software, enterprise solutions, or industrial sectors.
  • Partner management and ecosystem development experience.
  • Technical software background with knowledge of AI is desirable.
  • Knowledge of the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sector is desirable but not essential.
