Senior Product Manager – Mechanical / Electro-Mechanical Products (Global)
Location: North West London (NW2)
Working Model: Hybrid + Global Travel Salary: Up to £85,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Are you a Senior Product Manager specialising in mechanical and electro-mechanical products? An opportunity exists within a global engineering & manufacturing business to own a £65m product line in a high-performance, technical environment.
About the Role
This essentially non-digital role is not suited to candidates from SaaS, software, AI, fintech or service-led ecosystems. You will shape innovative, high-value engineered physical products within an industrial or manufacturing landscape, where reliability, compliance, and performance are paramount.
The Global Senior Product Manager Role
You will own a flagship product line valued at ~£65m, driving the full product lifecycle from early-stage ideation to commercial launch, manufacture and optimisation. It’s not just project delivery—this role focuses on influencing product DNA through collaboration with engineering, R&D, and global stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Define & Own: End-to-end responsibility for the product lifecycle:
- Ideation → concept development → engineering → launch → optimisation
- Global strategy, roadmap, and innovation pipeline framework
- Customer & Market Insight: Uncover new opportunities through research, trends, competitor analysis
- Roadmapping: Translate need-gaps and market demand into actionable Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) and Minimum Viable Demands (MRDs)
- Early Collaboration: Lead idea validation, stakeholder briefs, concept definition, and prioritisation
- Bridging Gap: Develop and industrialise solutions synchronously with engineering, R&D and manufacturing
- Business Case Processing: Shape commercial rationale, vantage proposition, and justification for NPD investments
- Portfolio Oversee: Balance product mix, performance tracking, and resource allocation within a matrix organization
- Stakeholder Alignment: Facilitate cross-collaboration (global) with teams in architecture, sales, service, and commercial thresholds

Requirements
Technical & Experience Baseline
- Education: Degree in engineering or a related technical field
- Experience: Senior product or mechanical product management (applicable across industrial/engineering sectors) in:
- Physical, engineered products
- Electro-mechanical/heavy machinery applications
- Proven track record in early-stage product definition & co-creation beyond 'process-driven execution'
- Technical Commercially: Ability to articulate why and how products take form—synthesising engineering and business feedback effectively
- NPD credentials: Experience with greenfield development (engineering/drive-to-manufacture/collaboration with R&D)
- Global Reach: Operating within multi-regional markets or functional dependencies

- Software-only (SaaS/digital/AI/FinTech/app-based) experience will not suffice—this is an engineering-centric environment.
