Job Overview
A Senior Product Manager oversees product ecosystems—whether single complex products or multiple aligned offerings—ensuring consistently high quality and value. Responsibilities span:
- Supporting programme management initiatives.
- Enhancing digital self-service tools, CRM, and CCaaS integrations to improve customer insight, engagement, and service delivery.
Key interactions include:
- Aligning strategic and operational stakeholders with the Technology & Change team.
- Guiding cross-functional squads to optimise digital customer journeys across multiple channels.
Ideal experience includes:
- Proficiency managing CRM and CCaaS platforms.
- Analysing customer data to inform strategy and improvements.
Aligned with the Government Digital and Data Profession Capability Framework.
Key Responsibilities
Your role encompasses:
- Leading the entire product lifecycle: from discovery through development, delivery, and continuous iteration to eventual retirement.
- Prioritising product decisions based on quality and value outcomes.
- Managing juniior product teams, including recruiting associate product managers and contractors.

Specifically:
- Build, refine, and scale digital tools facilitating:
- Stateless objectives for MaPS' delivery partners and stakeholders.
- Alignment with *medium-and-long-term strategic goals.
- Collaborate with the MaPS Product Community, blending insights from users, systems, and platforms.
- Oversee the implementation of B2C CRM and CCaaS solutions, enhancing customer-centricity and operational efficiency.
Person Specification
Required Competencies and Skills:
- Profound knowledge and application of Agile and Lean methodologies.
- Ability to apply user-centred design principles.
- Skilled in cost-effective value creation (Cost/Benefit Analys).
- Mastery of product lifecycle management strategies.
- Strong stakeholder relationship management and strategic ownership.
- Broad expertise in product strategy, management, and leadership.
