This Senior Product Manager (Mechanical / Electro-Mechanical) role is ideal for a strategic leader with engineering expertise. You’ll own a high-value £65m global product line, driving innovation, development, and commercial success across technically complex scenarios.
The business specialises in designing and manufacturing safety-critical products for industrial and infrastructure markets, prioritising reliability, compliance, and performance.
Key challenges include:

- Shifting beyond traditional New Product Introduction (NPI) processes into early-stage ideation and strategic product definition.
- Collaborating with engineering, R&D, and commercial teams to define “what gets built” and why.
Key Responsibilities

-
Develop global product strategy: Drive a roadmap and innovation pipeline, balancing technical feasibility, market potential, and commercial viability.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
