About the Role

As our next Senior Product Manager, Consumer Product, you'll own a core piece of the homeowner experience across web and app, one of the most important levers we have for building the UK's most trusted home improvement marketplace. Your work will be felt by millions of homeowners every year: how they search, how they choose, how much they trust what they find. You'll execute against the vision, build the systems and raise the bar on quality, all while keeping the team moving at real pace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translating the long-term vision for the Checkatrade consumer experience into a focused, deliverable roadmap for your area, and driving it end-to-end.
  • Upholding the standard for what a best-in-class homeowner experience looks like, and holding yourself and the team accountable to it, not just in theory, but in every shipped feature.
  • Partnering closely with Engineering to break down the technical blockers that slow delivery, owning the outcome, not just the spec.
  • Owning a defined part of the consumer funnel, discoverability, conversion, trust, satisfaction or retention, and using data, experimentation and insight to move the needle on it.
  • Contributing to a high-performing, cross-functional product team with clear ownership, a bias for action and an uncompromising eye for quality.
  • Acting as a visible advocate for quality across the organisation, aligning your roadmap to commercial outcomes and championing the consumer at every level of the business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What We're Looking For

  • Solid experience in product roles, with clear ownership of a consumer-facing product area at scale and a track record of shipping experiences that real people love and that move conversion, engagement and retention.
  • Sound judgement and initiative: the ability to articulate a clear view of what your product area should become (not just an incremental improvement plan) and bring people with you on that journey.
  • Execution edge: you actually ship. You drive delivery with Engineering, remove blockers, hold pace and don't let quality slip while doing it.
  • Strong analytical rigour and commercial awareness: you use experimentation, funnel analysis and consumer insight to drive decisions, and you understand how product choices connect to revenue and long-term consumer lifetime value.
