Position: Senior Product Manager - Core Platform
Location: United Kingdom
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Manager - Core Platform based in United Kingdom.
This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of a highly technical platform used by global enterprises to orchestrate complex business processes.
You will own the product strategy for core platform capabilities, working at the intersection of engineering, customers, and business needs.
The position combines deep technical understanding with product leadership, focusing on scalability, reliability, performance, and innovation.
You will influence the evolution of distributed systems and help deliver solutions that enable organizations to automate and optimize critical workflows.
Working in a remote and global environment, you will collaborate with talented teams across engineering, customer-facing functions, and product leadership.

Accountabilities:
As a Senior Product Manager - Core Platform, you will lead the vision, strategy, and evolution of foundational platform capabilities. You will work closely with engineering teams, customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to define priorities, drive innovation, and ensure the platform meets enterprise-level requirements.
- Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for core platform capabilities.
- Translate customer, market, and business needs into clear product requirements and priorities.
- Manage feedback from customers, communities, partners, and internal teams to identify opportunities for product improvements.
- Evaluate and prioritize feature requests based on customer impact, business value, and technical feasibility.
- Support engineering teams by ensuring they have clear priorities, well-defined initiatives, and actionable product requirements.
- Continuously assess market trends, competitive positioning, and customer needs to guide product decisions.
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, solutions teams, and other stakeholders to ensure successful product adoption and delivery.
- Drive product practices including customer research, OKRs, backlog management, product design, and go-to-market planning.

Requirements:
We are looking for a technically skilled product leader with experience building and managing complex platform products. The ideal candidate combines strong product management expertise with an understanding of distributed systems, enterprise technology, and customer-driven innovation.
- 5+ years of product management experience, ideally focused on distributed systems, technical SaaS products, PaaS, or cloud-native platforms.
- Experience managing products used by enterprise IT teams, including developers, automation engineers, and operations professionals.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts such as scalability, fault tolerance, event-driven architecture, and performance optimization.
- Experience with product strategy, customer research, roadmap planning, backlog management, and Agile methodologies.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
- Ability to present product concepts and solutions clearly to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Experience working with enterprise customers and understanding complex technical requirements.
- Familiarity with technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), and messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ is a plus.
- Experience with IT platforms in banking, financial services, insurance, or other highly regulated industries is advantageous.
- Technical understanding of deploying, managing, and scaling platform products throughout their lifecycle is beneficial.
