Senior Product Manager, Data & Agentic Products
About Pleo
Messy spend management is tricky business. And tedious processes are a lose-lose situation for all involved, not just finance. At Pleo, we're changing that. We build spend solutions that make managing money seamless, empowering, and surprisingly effective for finance teams and employees alike - with a vision to help all businesses ‘go beyond’.
The word ‘Pleo’ actually means ‘more than you’d expect’, and living by that mantra has been the secret to our success over the last 10 years.
Now, we’re at a pivotal moment in our journey; every move we make has a direct impact on our 40,000+ customers, our business, and our collective success. We need people who take pride in uncovering customer needs, who turn complex problems into simple solutions, challenge the way things are done (respectfully), and always aim high. With great ambitions driving us forward, we can’t say we’ve got this whole thing figured out. And frankly, that’s half the fun! What we can say is that we’re a driven, progressive, and, importantly, a kind bunch of 850+ people from over 100 nationalities, all committed to delivering the future of business spending, together.
About The Role
Pleo has over 40,000 customers and a decade of unique spend data. This role is about turning that asset into a network of autonomous AI agents that don't just surface insights, but actively execute workflows for our customers - from predicting budget overruns to autonomously reconciling complex corporate tax loops. As Senior PM for Data & Agentic Products, you will own the product strategy, reasoning engines, and autonomy frameworks across our agentic portfolio. You will work alongside the Engineering Manager for the GenAI Platform, Product Designers and other PM colleagues.
The Role
As the Senior PM for Data & Agentic Products, you will own the end-to-end product strategy, reasoning engines, and autonomy frameworks that power Pleo’s AI agents. You won’t just be building chatbots; you will be building autonomous systems that can reason, plan, access corporate financial data securely, and take actions across the Pleo ecosystem and external SaaS tools.
You will focus heavily on how data feeds these agents to optimize their performance, building the core intelligence that allows AI to act as a trusted, proactive teammate for finance leaders and employees alike.
What You’ll Do
- Shape the Data & Agentic Strategy: Define and execute Pleo’s roadmap to transition from automated workflows to true agentic autonomy (systems that can plan, execute tools, self-correct, and learn).
- Data as the Fuel: Architect how multi-modal data (receipts, bank feeds, ERP data, corporate policies) is indexed, vectorized, and delivered to LLMs to maximize agent reasoning, accuracy, and context-awareness.
- Build and Scale Agents: Own the lifecycle of agent development, from initial intent recognition and planning frameworks to execution and multi-agent coordination.
- Agent Evaluation & Guardrails: Oversee the development of robust evaluation frameworks, memory persistence, and human-in-the-loop (HITL) guardrails to ensure 100% financial accuracy and trust in partnership with our platform LLM Ops tools (e.g., BrainTrust).
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with world-class Machine Learning Engineers, the GenAI Platform team, Data Platform teams, Product Designers, and Security to build a scalable, compliant, and highly intuitive agentic ecosystem.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Core Experience
What we are looking for
- 4+ years in Product Management, with at least 2 years focused heavily on AI/ML, LLM orchestration, autonomous systems, or intelligent automation.
- Hands-on Data & Agentic Knowledge: Deep familiarity with agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or sophisticated in-house architectures), function calling, tool use, and advanced prompting techniques.
- Data & Infra Fluency: You understand RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), vector databases, and how data pipelines impact AI behavior. You are comfortable navigating architectural discussions around LLM gateways (LiteLLM), MCP layers, and the product implications of Python/Kotlin hybrid environments.
- FinTech/B2B SaaS Background (Bonus): Experience in expense management, accounting workflows, or fraud detection is a massive plus. You understand the high accuracy and low risk tolerance required when AI handles money.
Your technical & product mindset
"An Agent is only as good as its data and context."
You live by this rule. You are a highly technical PM, capable of evaluating LLM latency, benchmarking agent accuracy, and collaborating deeply with AI researchers and platform engineers, while keeping a laser focus on solving real customer friction.
Why this role is different
Unlike generalist AI PM roles that focus primarily on text generation or creative tools, this role sits at the intersection of action, logic, and data. You will have access to millions of transactional data points and the mandate to build agents that actually do the work for finance teams - from predicting budget overruns to autonomously reconciling complex corporate tax loops.
This role is not a good fit if
- You need a stable product surface to work with. The AI product space is fast-moving, and the role requires building the product playbook alongside the team.
- You are not comfortable working across team boundaries. The team's output lives inside other teams' products; alignment and relationships are core to the job, not a distraction from it.
- You want to own a dedicated end-to-end product squad. This role is about the Data & AI product portfolio — the end customer experience lives in the broader Pleo product.
Your first 6 months
- Develop a deep understanding of Pleo's AI capabilities, data assets, and the product areas where agents can create the most immediate and durable customer value.
- Establish strong working relationships with product PMs, squads, and the GenAI Platform engineering leadership across the organisation — you cannot do this job from inside the data function alone.
- Own and publish a clear product strategy and roadmap for Data & Agentic Products: what is being built, why, and in what order to help shape the downstream platform roadmap.
- Define success metrics and quality bars for at least two live product areas, and establish a baseline.
Show Me The Benefits
- Your own Pleo card (no more out-of-pocket spending!)
- Lunch is on us for your work days - enjoy catered meals or receive a lunch allowance based on your local office
- Comprehensive private healthcare - depending on your location, coverage options include Vitality, Alan or Médis
- We offer 25 days of holiday + your public holidays
- For our Team, we offer both hybrid and fully remote working options
- We use MyndUp to give our employees access to free mental health and well-being support with great success so far
- Paid parental leave - we want to make sure that we're supportive of families and help you feel that you don't have to compromise your family due to work
