8x8 Connects Our Customers and Teams Globally
8x8 connects our customers and teams globally, empowering CX leaders with performance and insights to make smarter decisions, delight customers, and drive lasting business impact.
8x8 is reinventing how businesses talk to their customers, and AI is at the centre of everything we ship. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to drive our Digital Channels portfolio: SMS, Email, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, RCS, WebChat and more.
About the Role
This role spans the entire 8x8 portfolio. Digital Channels are a foundational platform capability serving Contact Center, Unified Communications, and Engage. You will own the channels that power every customer conversation across our ecosystem, not a single product line. These are high-volume, revenue-carrying channels used by thousands of businesses every day, and they are evolving fast with AI, rich messaging, and compliance-driven change across regions.
You will own strategy and execution end to end: from carrier and platform compliance to AI-powered customer experiences, working closely with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to ship things that matter.
What You Will Do
- Drive the platform: Own the strategy, roadmap, and business metrics for the Digital Channels platform across the full 8x8 portfolio, including Contact Center, UC, and Engage
- Productise AI: Identify where AI creates real customer value in digital conversations, define it, and ship it into the portfolio
- Build with AI: We prototype with Claude and Claude Code daily. Validate ideas cheaply with real customers, iterate, and cut what does not land
- Stay close to the customer: Run constant discovery, gather feedback from support and field teams, and turn insight into roadmap decisions you can defend with data
- Navigate complexity: Drive channel compliance and expansion programmes (carrier registration, regional launches, platform policy changes) with the discipline these ecosystems demand
- Lead cross-functionally: Work daily with Product Management peers, Customer Success Managers, Account Managers, Product Marketing, Sales Engineering, and external partners on enablement, deal support, and pricing
- Own your business: Track, report, and take accountability for your numbers: adoption, usage, quality, and the revenue impact of your portfolio

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What We Are Looking For
- Hands-on AI fluency: More than using tools. You have shipped AI-powered capabilities into a product and you prototype hands-on with AI coding tools, whatever your current stack. We work in Claude and Claude Code, and expect you to ramp fast. Concrete examples of both will be asked for at interview
- Proven experience: 5+ years of product management in a software company, ideally SaaS, CPaaS, or CCaaS
- Domain expertise: Working knowledge of digital messaging ecosystems: SMS, WhatsApp Business, email deliverability, rich messaging, or API/CPaaS products
- Pragmatic execution: Comfortable with fail fast. You form hypotheses, test cheaply, and cut losses without ego
- Strong ownership: You escalate blockers, fight for engineering focus, and drive outcomes end to end
- Clear communication: Analytical and persuasive, able to influence with data and clear narrative, in writing and in front of executives. Excellent English, with the ability to produce both technical and commercial content
