About The Role

Fraud moves faster than AML; stop fraud before money leaves.

We're looking for a product lead to rethink, design and implement best-in-class, customer-centric fraud controls for our products and processes at Ebury. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in safeguarding our customers and assets by developing and executing a comprehensive product strategy to combat evolving fraud threats across our diverse range of financial products and jurisdictions.

As we expand our capabilities across new verticals (i.e. embedded payments), new products (i.e. cards) and new payment rails (i.e. stablecoins ), tackling fraud is becoming a critical part of our strategy.

You will be working closely with Operations, Compliance, Engineering, Data and Security teams.

This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our security posture, drive innovation, and work at the forefront of fraud prevention. This role is ideal for someone passionate about staying ahead of trends, adapting quickly to changing regulations and emerging fraud patterns.

This role reports to the Head of Financial Crime Intelligence Product.

What You’ll Do

Product Ownership

  • Formulate and drive a fraud tackling focused product strategy, ensuring alignment with overall Financial Crime Intelligence Product domain goals and company direction.
  • Own fraud controls across transactional fraud, document fraud, and behavioural anomalies.
  • Detect abnormal user behaviour across onboarding, authentication, and payment journeys.
  • Translate the control gaps or breaches into a clear, actionable roadmap, ensuring timely and effective delivery across:
    • fiat to fiat transactions
    • fiat to crypto transactions (mainly stablecoins)
    • crypto to crypto transactions, card spends, internal processes and customer journeys

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
