Senior Product Manager – Hardware Portfolio Lead
As market-leading technology provider designing products for mission-critical environments globally, we’re seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead a key hardware portfolio and shape the future of our Product Management function in a leadership role.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategic product leadership, hands-on execution, customer engagement, and team development.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will:
- Own the full product lifecycle for a hardware portfolio
- Collaborate with engineering, commercial teams, and customers to define product strategy, influence roadmaps, and deliver solutions for real-world operational challenges
- Develop the Product Management team, mentor colleagues, and nurture future talent
This is an influential position with significant visibility across the business—ideal for anyone ready to make strategic impact.
Key Responsibilities
Product Leadership & Delivery
- Define the strategy, roadmap, and commercial success of critical hardware products
- Guide products from concept-to-launch, through in-life management, and end-of-life planning
- Translate customer requirements into commercial product decisions for engineering teams

Stakeholder & Customer Engagement
- Engage directly with customers to understand their operational challenges and market needs
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, and executive stakeholders to align go-to-market strategies
People Development & Culture
- Mentor and develop Product Managers within the team
- Drive continuous improvement in product performance, processes, and portfolio management
We’re Looking For
You’re a seasoned Product Manager with experience operating at a senior, leadership level in engineering-driven organisations. Ideally, you bring:
- Ownership of complex hardware products throughout their lifecycle
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence roadmaps
- Experience with people leadership or team management
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Confidence to lead cross-functional discussions, particularly with engineering teams
- A collaborative, resilient mindset with the ability to navigate influence at all levels

Desirable Experience (not mandatory)
Experience in:
- Mission-critical communications
- RF or wireless technologies
- Electronics or embedded hardware
- Rugged devices
- Medical devices
- Defence, aerospace or industrial safety-critical products
Ideal candidates may also come from other complex hardware environments.
