A Senior Product Manager is required for a leading metals trading organisation, operating across physical and derivatives markets with a strong global footprint. This is a key hire within a growing technology function, supporting front-office trading, risk, and commercial teams across a complex and fast-moving trading environment. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering strategic digital products aligned to metals trading workflows, with a particular focus on:
- Trade lifecycle
- Pricing
- Risk
- Data platforms
The Role
This Senior Product Manager position offers the opportunity to:
- Define product strategy
- Establish best practices
- Drive alignment across:
- Technology teams
- Trading stakeholders
- Senior business leaders
You will work closely with:
- CTO
- Engineering Leads
- Traders
- Senior business stakeholders
Operating with significant ownership and influence across a high-impact product landscape.
The organisation is currently undergoing key transformation initiatives, including:
- Enhancing metals trading platforms across front-to-back office workflows
- Building out data and analytics capabilities to support:
- Pricing
- Risk and trading decisions
- Modernising core systems and architecture, including:
- Integration with ETRM platforms
- Delivering new digital capabilities to:
- Improve trade capture
- Streamline lifecycle management
- Enhance reporting

Key Responsibilities
As Senior Product Manager, you will take ownership of the end-to-end product lifecycle, including:
- Defining and executing a product strategy and roadmap, aligned to trading and commercial objectives
- Partnering closely with:
- Front-office metals traders
- Understanding workflows and pain points
- Driving delivery across Agile engineering teams, ensuring:
- High-quality and scalable solutions
- Prioritising initiatives based on:
- Commercial impact
- Trading value
- Embedding data-driven decision-making across product development
- Ensuring strong stakeholder alignment across:
- Technology
- Risk
- Business functions
Package
- £130,000 (base salary) + Bonus + Benefits
- Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
- Nearest stations: Liverpool Street, Bank, St Paul’s
Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Senior Product Manager within a metals trading environment
- Strong domain knowledge across metals markets:
- LME (London Metal Exchange)
- Physicals
- Derivatives
- Structured products
- Experience working with:
- Trading systems
- ETRM (Enterprise Trading Risk Management)
- CTRM (Commodity Trading and Risk Management) platforms
- Strong understanding of the front-to-back trade lifecycle, including:
- Trade capture
- Risk
- PnL (Profit and Loss)
- Settlements
- Experience operating within fast-paced, transformation-driven trading environments
- Deep understanding of:
- Agile product delivery
- Software development lifecycle
